The Washington Redskins cleaned up at the 2016 NFL Draft, and wanted to give fans a chance to share their opinions on the team’s picks. The team decided to use Jebbit’s interactive content platform to create a poll. All fans who completed the poll could enter to win a signed Ryan Kerrigan jersey.
The team launched the poll through their owned Facebook and Twitter accounts and saw results right away. Within an hour, the poll had captured more than 150 emails.
Using interactive content allowed the Redskins to build a deeper connection with their fans by asking for and listening to their take on the 2016 draft class. The team also learned more about their audience on Facebook and Twitter, and how to more effectively engage them. They included an opt-in at the end of the poll to let fans join their season ticket holder waiting list.
Using interactive content allowed the team to better engage fans on mobile devices, where the majority of their traffic came from. The poll ultimately drove a 32% click-to-conversion rate and nearly a minute of engagement from each fan.
