The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT) runs monthly getaway sweepstakes to promote tourism to various vacation spots throughout the state. Each month features a new region, and February highlighted Cape Cod. MOTT wanted a solution that would drive more entries while educating and profiling site visitors, and saw an opportunity to use Jebbit’s platform to build interactive quizzes that would achieve these goals.
MOTT started using Jebbit to power their sweepstakes in December. February’s getaway featured Cape Cod, and the quiz asked about the region along with profiling questions about travel history and intent. The quiz ended with a quick form to enter the sweepstakes. Previous quizzes increased entries by 2X-3X, but the February quiz significantly boosted responses.
Using Jebbit increased February sweepstakes entries by 5X. By the third quiz in the monthly getaway, MOTT’s audience got used to the new format and had something to look forward to each month. The Cape Cod quiz engaged viewers, with 95 percent of the people who finished the quiz entering their contact information. An added benefit? MOTT captured data on each respondent, including whether or not they planned to visit Massachusetts, when they wanted to do so, and whether or not they’d been to the state before. The Jebbit quiz also increased site engagement KPIs – pageviews for the Cape Cod page went up by 8X and the February Vacation page by 3X.
